It is a matter of immense pride for us to present a digital version of the Saralā, a 19th century Sanskrit commentary on the Vaiyākaraṇasiddhāntakaumudī of Bhaṭṭojī Dīkṣita, by Prof. Tārānātha Tarkavācaspati Bhaṭṭācārya of Vācaspatya fame. From Pt. Śambhucandra Vidyāratna’s biography of Tārānātha Tarkavācaspati it appears that it is the first Sanskrit commentary on the Siddhāntakaumudī written by any Bengali scholar. From the same source we learn that this commentary, Saralā, generated professional and academic jealousy even in the minds of contemporary scholars of Pāṇinian grammar residing in Benares, the cultural capital of India, who when asked to compose a like commentary on the Siddhāntakaumudī to discount the uniqueness of the Saralā, remained silent in failure. The authorship of this commentary led to the widespread fame of Tarkvācaspati as an outstanding grammarian of the Pāṇinian School. Also the fact of the running of the Saralā through three editions during the lifetime of Tārānātha Tarkavācaspati legitimates its claim to immense popularity. Thus we earnestly believe that a widespread cultivation of this commentary will immensely benefit students of Pāṇinian grammar all over the world.
My sincere thanks to Shri Sudipta Munsi who provided me the ebooks of Sarala vyakhya of Siddhantakaumudi for posting on this blog and also prepared a brief write-up on the work in Sanskrit & English, which is used in the above post.
It is a very useful book for sanskrit student. I like it very much. I have satisfaed this.

Iviyan,
Links to download pdf of the book, are given at the bottom of the post. Please see ‘DOWNLOAD LINKS’.
this is a very nice tika.
very good book
shankara,
These books are taken from DLI. I’ve same books with me.
But, I could not determine whether these books uploaded by you are same or not.
My books have size for part 1 – 29238 KB and part 2 – 29857 KB. Part – 1 has 757 pages and Part – 2 has 729 pages. I did not delete blank pages.
Please, confirm that these are same or otherwise.
If you could post details of the source from which you got the book and page numbers on Archive.Org, it will be good for those who themselves download books from other sources.
Lalitalalitaji,
These volumes are from Digital Library of India. There is not much use in writing the source if it is Digital Library of India since DLI has sometimes multiple versions of the same book. So, one cannot identify the edition/scan which is posted on this blog. I am not providing page numbers and file size for 2 reasons. 1. To save my time (One can imagine how much time is required to prepare a list of file size and page numbers for large collections like TSS, ASS, Kavyamala, etc.) 2. File size is provided at archive.org. I hope you understand my difficulty.

Thanks
Chintankumar Dave, You can download Laghu Siddhanta Kaumudi with Bhaimi vyakhya from https://archive.org/details/Vyakarana
It is my life my jaan my present past future sidhanta koumudi.
I find this side really interesting. I want to learn Sanskrit from the very beginning. Could you please let me know how I can learn it? know that the knowledge of the world is in it? I did MPhil in English but I want to learn Sanskrit.I am from Nepal and I know Nepali andEnglish Language equally. I am practising Sanskrit from youtube.
So many many thanks
साधो , उत्तम् !!
Am I reading the correct book? I can not see the saral vyakhyaa in these two books.
Vinod, Sarala Vyakhya is given in foot-notes i.e. below the dividing line. As mentioned in the book, Sarala vyakhya is a brief version of Tattvabodhini vyakhya.
I SUGGEST THE SUTRA LIST BE BROKEN IN TWO:
1. SUTRAS NUMERIC FROM ( 1.1.001 ) TO (8.4.068) AND CORRESPONDING
SUTRAS PROPER:(1.1.001 ) VRIDDHIRADAICH TO (8.4.068) A-A
THIS WILL FACILITATE INDEXING BOTH NUMERICAL AND ALPHABETICAL SO THAT SEPARATE
COLUMN SORTING WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN WINDOWS EXCELL.
It is a good initiative. I would like to read and contribute more on the topics of my interest.
Thank you very much for these books in the original Sanskrit and Sarala Sanskrit.
